Cutout

Cutout is a background remover that turns any photo into a clean transparent PNG in seconds, with a personal image library and storage tracking.

Cutout takes an uploaded photo and strips its background automatically, using AI vision rather than a manual selection tool. Processing starts the moment the file lands — a loading state covers the upload, then a second one covers the removal itself, both wrapped in a WebGL effect rather than a plain spinner. The result and the original both sit side by side in a per-user library, with a 200MB storage cap tracked by a progress bar and a simple image-count KPI, so the user can see how much room is left before archiving anything from the library.

The prompt

An app that lets user remove background on images. Login via oAuth. Users upload images, and it automatically processes them to remove the background. Users can then export edited images as .png. A library with uploaded images (and the background-removed version), from where to delete archived images.

What it does

  • Upload image and automatically remove background using AI vision processing
  • Side-by-side library view showing original and background-removed versions
  • One-click PNG export of processed images
  • Delete / archive images from personal library
  • Google OAuth login with per-user private image storage
